Supportive Community Treatment Order Program (CTO)

A Community Treatment Order (CTO), under the Mental Health Act, is a tool intened to assist someone in compying with psychiatric treatment while living in the community. A CTO is a treatment and care plan that outlines care specific to needs and may include, but is not limited to: medication compliance, support to attend appointments, as well as assistance with independent Life Skills. there are Albertans all across the provice on CTO's.

The SDupportive Community Treatment Order Program is a pilot program for Edenbridge Family Services and Alrtera Health Services - Addiction and Mental Health that started in 2011. The Supportive CTO Program is for individuals in Alberta Services Southwest Zone who meet AHS eligibility criteria and may require additional mental health supports.
